Private Life
- Sandra
is
my wife and the person with which
I enjoy classical concerts and many other things most!
There are some photos of
Our First Wedding in Saarbrücken,
and now some of
our Our Church Wedding in Mexico City.
Recently,
we mostly enjoy our son André
Sebastian Zimmer Carral (sorry for the old pictures, he keeps us so
busy that we don't manage to put newer ones).
- I love singing! When I'm in Germany I sing in the A-cappella-Choir of the Universität des Saarlandes:
I used to sing in the Edinburgh
University Music Society Choir but I couldn't get used to rehearsing
6 times for very difficult pieces (e.g. Brahms's "Ein
Deutsches Requiem") and then giving low-quality performances.
- I'm very fond of classical music (especially Bach, Beethoven, and
Rachmaninov), theatre and exciting films. I hope you all
know the incredibly beautiful
Wallace & Gromit movies and the simply fantastic
The man who wasn't
there staring Billy Bob Thornton.

I also like Memento a lot.
- I love books which fascinate me in some way. Thanks to our friends Deena
& Tim, I got into Sci-Fi and dived in the works of Arthur
C. Clarke. Some of my favourite authors are Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Umberto
Eco, and Luciano de Crescenzo.
- photography (lower intermediate). I bought my Nikon F65 in
September 2001 and it was a really nice camera. Have a look at...
Unfortunately, my camera was stolen in August 2005 by ruthless drug addicts,
and I haven't been willing to spend the money for a digital SLR yet...
- Sports (when I find the time...):
